This report shows key performance indicators at
a glance.
- Agents: The number of mNW agents
that have uploaded firewall data within the past two
weeks.
- Countries/States: Geographic distribution
of mNW agents.
- Firewall events: Total number of
firewall records uploaded by Agents.
- New attacks: Firewall events are
aggregated and analyzed to determine if they are attacks.
When attacks are identified, email alerts are automatically
sent to the responsible ISP.
- Re-escsalations: If reports of
an attack persists three days after the initial alert
is sent, the incident is re-escalated and another
email alert is sent.
- Resolved attacks: The number of
myNetWatchman alerts that are explicitly follow-up
and closed by the recipients. The number of incidents
resolved this way is low, but don't let this fool
you — system managers are often very glad to
get alerts which pinpoint the source of their security
problem, but often don't have the resources to follow-up
on our automated alerts. The Resolved
Incident report provides an interesting look at
comments left by system managers who come to the site
to close incidents sourced from their networks..
