Note Frames 45-48 are DNS looks sent to Primary Bellsouth Atlanta name server...no response!
Finally, after 1.5s of timeout, attempt made to secondary name server (205.152.0.5), which succeeds. At this time ALL requests to primary DNS server are failing, causing 1.5s of delay for every lookup. Since many web pages require 10-15 DNS lookups, this causes substantial delays and the "appearance" of slow surfing.

Boy, 47ms is a whole lot better than 1500ms! Note: There are duplicate DNS request and responses due to a NTS Duplicate DNS problem.
