Synchronize time
Here are the procedures for sychronizing your systems clock with a network
time server:
We not only need to synchronize our time with a reliable source, we need a
way to perform this task automatically at a regular interval (e.g. daily). Fortunately,
there are many shareware tools which implement the Network Time Protocol (NTP)
and will automatically obtain an atomic-accurate time (not that we need to be
THAT accurate, but hey it's there, might as well use it).
Feel free to utilize any NTP agent you feel comfortable with. One that I have
tried with success is:
WebTimeSync from
VicTech
A Freeware NTP client that is also good is Automachron
If you choose not to use a NTP client, please synchronize your clock using: time.gov
After you install WebTimeSync there are several steps you need to take to force
automatic time synchronization. Here's what the main status window looks like:

Click on the Configure button:

Check "Startup on system startup to tray". Click Apply.
Click on Auto Update Settings:

Check "Automatically update time". Enter "999" for the
number of minutes. Click Apply.
This will force a time sychronize once or twice a day. Click OK a few times
and close all windows.
You should now have a WebTimeSync icon (a cool satelite) in your system tray:
